Very good mouse

I am a fan of heavier mouses and the z2 is really comfortable with a set of features I didn't know I couldn’t live without. The rubber grips fell off very early, but support was great and sent me replacements swiftly. Would recommend

Interesting and different

Overall I like the concept very much. The flexibility is impressive. My one reservation is that I’m more used to being my thumb as a modifier (alt, ctrl, shift and chording). The z2 has great options for fingers. Deep click is great although not as useful on the two main mouse buttons as it is on others as MB1 and 2 often have special roles when held and it’s hard to assign an independent deep click function that doesn’t also trigger the main button function. The main issue for me is having only 2 thumb buttons and no deep click on either. I’d be 5* review if there were 4 or so thumb buttons with deep click functionality.

Swiftpoint Z2

I have bought the new Swiftpoint Z2 and I must say that it has meet all my expectations. Especially for hardcore fps gamers that want to lean around corners.

Excellent costumer's service!

My first mouse

10/10, I spent 12 months going through different options while setting up my first pc build and I couldn’t be happier with where I landed. I’m even tempted to get a second as a backup !

Pretty Good. Pretty Good.

I am enjoying my mouse - good mouse. Feels slick, software is good, buttons are plentiful and in good positions, love having swappable caps, the shape in the hand took getting used to but changing where I normally put my pinky solved that pretty quick - now feels great. Having that resting pad for my ring finger is awesome. Wish it was a little bigger so my pinky could share.
Things I really want you guys to know though are...
1. The rubber pad for resting your thumb is flexing or stretching out of place already. I can feel it wrinkle under my thumb and I need to flatten it back into place. I'm SO glad it's not a sticker but at the same time I know it's gonna come loose eventually.
2. When my hands are very clean and smooth I can feel the mouse sliding out of my grip on the outer edge. There's no friction or lip to keep it from popping out like a bar of soap. I feel I need to wet my hands to keep hold.
3. I bought the mouse for the number of buttons, the macros, and the tilt function. I'm using the buttons and the macros but the tilt ended up not being as useful as I expected. I still use it now and again but it's too hard to control reliably because I have no real sense of when it's going to activate. the margins are so fine that just moving my mouse tilts it enough to actuate. I wish it was more tactile, like a button, where I could feel I'm about to hit actuation and be more deliberate.
4. Not really my style, aesthetically. The 'Creator' is pretty handsome, but all the sharp geometry is pretty 'GAMER CORE' (says the guy with a mouse with 14 buttons).

The Promised One Month Review Is Here!

I never ever thought I would find a useful thing out of ads on social media apps. But that's where I first saw Swiftpoint Z2 Mouse. Searched up people talking about it, scrolled several Reddit threads... Eventually, I bit the bullet and dumped a little under $200 into "a laser pointer on a wire wrapped in plastic!" I felt so extravagant! Hah! And the Instagram ad manager actually @'d me back when I commented about buying it, asking for my thoughts on the product. I replied that I'd only just received my Z2, and hadn't used it enough yet to give a realistic response.

Welp, here I am a month later. As it turns out, the Z2 is an amazing piece of engineering.

First off, my mouse selection criteria. I am a gamer for 3 decades now, and a PC gamer for 25 years. (StarCraft Brood War and Team Fortress Classic, represent!) When I started looking at more than 2-button mice in the 2000s, I quickly discovered that my habitual Claw Grip was incompatible with the concept of a "gaming mouse" that put the extra buttons under my thumb. I eventually settled on the Logitech G300s with its many extra face buttons. By the end of 2024, I was on my 3rd G300s and was getting very frustrated by the declining quality of each one! Just looking at the Z2 made me go "ooooooh, that's a lot of face buttons! But how can I use them all?" FYI, these days I am playing Warframe, Helldivers 2, and The First Descendant.

The first four buttons closes to the top of the Z2 are naturally easy to access. The next four buttons exist in a pair of buttons that are push/pull hybrid switches. I wasn't sure how I could curl my fingers enough to manipulate them. However, my fat hands and fingers mean that I can click those buttons down with the underside of the first finger segment on fore and middle fingers. It feels incredibly natural!

The two pull clicks, however, it's a bit troublesome. I have to do a very long curl, like making a fist. It's disruptive to gameplay, so I have assigned non combat activities to those pull clicks.

Two thumb buttons are utterly ordinary and no trouble at all. More useful non combat clicks, and browser forward/back.

The two edge buttons aside the left mouse click were an initial pain point. I wasn't sure why I felt like they were just out of reach or an awkward finger curl to click while gaming. After a month of practice, I have determined that the edge button issue was due to the mouse turning about 10 degrees counter clockwise in my habitual claw grip, and not a positioning issue with the Z2 button design. I have since adapted my grip and this is no longer an issue.

The only issue that remains is with the provided button customization software. It's amazing and flexible and a powerful tool... too much so. I can't figure out how to get the Z2 extra buttons to function as virtual joystick buttons, separate from Keyboard inputs. I have settled for assigning all Z2 buttons beyond the basic 5, over to duplicating numpad keys. This is an issue with numlock on/off situations, and especially frustrating in Helldivers 2. I specifically want to get the Strategem Call In inputs off my numpad and into virtual joystick inputs... because Helldivers 2 doesn't recognize numpad keys and only sees arrow key inputs!

That's basically it. The Z2 is an *amazing* piece of engineering and I am happy I splurged on it. I might even buy a second on as a backup, in case Swiftpoint goes out of business before my Z2 breaks!

Like the Z1, an amazing mouse

The mouse has been serving me well. Other than software lackings some features like rumble support in games that have dual sense vibration, or allowing more customization of the oled. Another feature is more toggles doe the led such as global brightness so we don't have to worry about it being too bright at night.
Other than lacking some features it performs great, and has been well worth the purchase.

Best mouse for every game!

Just got the newest Z Mouse and it’s every bit as awesome as I hoped it would be. This is the 4th mouse I’ve purchased (1 was a gift, one I travel with, and I just wanted to support the team and upgrade from my old Z mouse because they make a great product and it’s always been a pleasure working with their customer support. By far the best mouse to use if you want to comfortably accomplish the most you can. Thanks!

Great gaming mouse

It's sleak comfortable and packed with features that just make sense. The software is so simple and easy to use for all levels of PC knowledge. My only complaint is I have very big hands and wished the thumb buttons (which is where I map my left click to) were either larger or a simply repositioned further back towards the palm just slightly. But overall it's an amazing addition to any PC gamers setup.

Really cool mouse but...

First off this mouse is pretty amazing. Having the ability to save profiles for each game I play has been really nice. All the buttons make games with a bunch of keybinds a breeze. I will say however the pressure sensitivity for the variable clicks is underwhelming. The difference between a normal click and 100 percent is nothing so it's basically useless. Being one of the selling points on this mouse for me that's a big let down. I have tried recalibration and it still doesn't solve the issue. When calibrating a normal click where the mouse first engages and "clicks" shows on the graph at around 70 percent of the total pressure making it nearly impossible to program any other function beyond that pressure. For a 200 plus dollar product I would expect this function to operate with much better precision. My review will remain at 3 stars pending a solution to the pressure sensitive click issue being resolved.

Hi Zachary,

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear that you have some issues with the pressure sensors that are also effecting your deep clicks. Sounds like there might be a small issue with the scroll board as well.

One of our developers will be in touch shortly to help get this sorted out for you so please keep an eye on your emails.

Cheers
Sean and the Swiftpoint Team.

Awesome mouse!

Got my brand new mouse in and it had a small defect with the rubber buttons. So I couldn't use the top 2 buttons. Emailed tech support and they were great! Very nice to work with and instead of fixing it with the bare minimum they sent me a brand new mouse to replace the old one! The second mouse is great and no defects at all... Took a little bit to get used to the button locations but didn't take long. It's so great having all those buttons right at your fingertips and not having to move your hand off your normal grip. I would recommend for sure! It's a game changer! Best mouse I have ever owned!

Amazing

This mouse has opened a completely new way of utilizing mice. The feel is amazing. The gyro feature is so useful not just in gaming but in day to day tasks like copy and paste, switch tabs etc. Honestly a great deal for a $200 price point once you see what all can be accomplished

Nice but could be better

I like that this mouse has so many different ways to use the buttons. The software for setting up different profiles is also nice. However the ergonomics for this mouse could definitely be better. I feel like my hand is slipping off when I use the mouse because of the way it is shaped and the slippery plastic that was used to make it. The left and right mouse buttons are also so sunken in that it makes them a little bit more difficult to click. I understand they had to be a bit sunken in to fit all of the buttons on the front but it just doesn't feel nearly as comfortable as the Logitech MX Master 3 I was using before. The tilt function is super cool but is a little hard to use. Because if you tilt to much the mouse sensor doesn't pick up any mouse movement so you are pretty much better off using q and e in shooter games where you can tilt.

TLDR. Cool mouse, poor ergonomics

Decent Mouse, Upsetting Pricing

The mouse is a novel idea but, there is a learning curve with it. The buttons all seem rather decent and placed so you don't hit them unless on perpose. For all the peripheral's software out there, this one is fairly easy to use. It doesn't seem janky like GForce or ASUS software packages. There is a learning curve probably for your average user.

I cannot give a review without mentioning the insulting price drop that Swiftpoint did for the holiday season after collecting presales at full price for months for production run #4. Before they were even shipping, they dropped the price by nearly $50 USD. As a customer that feels like a slap in the face for someone supporting your company and being willing to wait months.

I do enjoy this mouse, without the poor practice it's a solid 4 star, but I won't be purchasing anything else from Swiftpoint.

Hi Dashkova, thanks for your review and sorry about the upsetting price difference. I will reach out personally via email to make sure you're being looked after and get this sorted out for you. Regards, Cory - Swiftpoint CEO

Performed exactly as advertised

It takes a bit to get to used to the number of available options and position movements available to your fingers, but after a few hours of playing the additional functionality was worth the set up and felt natural.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE OUTCOME FOR A SO CALLED PREMIERE PRODUCT

This has been the worst support i've ever received to BUY a replacement part, let alone a replacement part or a 300 dollar mouse when the industry standard for top end units are 100 dollars. I ordered this on November 11, 2024. It is currently January 14, 2025 an I have still not received the replacement part and the communication has been horrible.
The communication includes large gaps, including 1 of 10 days. I communicated (very pleasantly) that the item had not been received by customs and sent screenshots and then was told that it had been received by Canadian customs. When I asked for some sort of indication where this was given, I got nothing but silence for 10 days. I expressed that I did not want to wait for a replacement part to be sent in a month after knowing that this was likely to be lost as it had not received by customs and it is now a month later and what I said has come to pass. Zero responsibility, zero liability, zero tact for customer concern.

To make matters worse, I was sent the replacement to my parents address where I was for a month during the Christmas Holidays. The horrible customer service first asked if I could specify the address to ship to, then asked if I wanted it shipped or a refund and when I asked how long I could expect this to be received, they sent the ship order WITHOUT EVEN BOTHERING A REPLY OR FURTHER COMMUNICATION when I will not be at that address until again until April 2025.
So I paid $300 dollars for the most expensive gaming mouse on the market, paid an aidditonal $40 dollars for a part after it broke and I have to wait almost half a year to to use my now $350 paperweight? HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?

I will be writing a review in every single social media branding point Swiftpoint is at eviscerating this horrible experience in a week unless I am contacted and this awful experience is made right.

Hi Charles, thanks for leaving the review and bringing this to our attention. We've had some challenges with the Canada Post strikes and clearly haven't handled this well for you. I will reach out directly by email to get this sorted for you. Thanks again, Cory - Swiftpoint CEO

Super comfortable as someone who was previously using the Razer Basilisk. Took a bit to get used to using the different buttons along my fingers but it feels almost normal to do so after a couple hours of use. I do wish the tilt function had a small catch or lever to prevent constant tilting when moving my hand.
